This course equips participants with basic first aid skills. Upon completion of this course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and treat day-to-day injuries.
The First Aid Level 1 course ensures corporate compliance with the regulations set by the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) act of 1993, and adheres to the requirements of the Department of Labour.
Who should attend?
This course is for supervisors, employees, and other individuals who wish to have the skills to competently manage and respond to day-to-day injuries and other health-related emergencies.
No formal prerequisites exist for this course. However, basic literacy skills are essential.

- First Aid and the law
- HIV/AIDS awareness
- Identifying wounds
- Managing bleeding
- Identification and treatment of fractures
- Treating burns, chokes, and shock
